Every course will be based on your needs and motivation. We will create a bespoke program to match your goals and expectations so that you don't lose time and learn quickly only what is relevant to you.
If your main motivation is professional, we can focus on business language, if you want to travel, we will focus on the more generic and everyday aspects of the language and if you want to pass any international certification, we will work specifically on it.
Just name it and we will make that happen!

LEARNING BY HEART? NO THANKS. LIVE THE LANGUAGE.
The approach I use is the communicative one, developed in the 80's of the last century and based on the notion of "speech acts". It then became the foundation of the postulates of the SLAT (Second Language Acquisition Theory) created by a very cool dude named Kraschen.
To explain it in a nutshell:
- A language is a living entity evolving in time and therefore it serves to achieve your goals and manage everyday activities
- Grammar is a mere tool helping you achieve your goals easily and is not something to be learned by heart
- The rules of the language (grammatical, lexical, regarding the pronunciation or other) are something students need to discover by themselves in order to fix them in the long term memory and are not given as pre-chewed pieces of information by the teacher

I strongly believe that the atmosphere in which you learn a language has a huge impact on how you actually learn it. The more you are relaxed and the more you feel at ease, in a welcoming environment, the more you can fix your knowledge in the long term memory and therefore acquire the language for good. Negative feelings such as lack of motivation, lack of self-confidence and learning anxiety act as filters that hinder and obstruct language learning.
Plus, having fun is no sin and what is better than a good laugh while learning? Bring it on!

I work with authentic material which means it is developed and meant to be used by native. I know how boring it can be when you learn something you feel you'll never use just to practice a specific grammar rule. We all know that the frigging cat is under the table but have you actually ever said it in your own language? Cats are always ON the table!
You will see the results immediately: videos, articles, audios... everything is conceived to make you learn the "real' language spoken by "real" people. So we can finally leave the poor cart alone.

We will find out the ideal balance of lessons / homework and the type of activities to help you get where you want faster.

During every session we will work together all all skills and abilities in order to achieve full proficiency under all aspects. All courses are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and focus on:
- Production (oral and written)
- Comprehension (oral and written)
- Interaction (oral and written)
